The rumor that Huawei plans to have electric cars built under its own brand has now been officially confirmed. As Huawei CEO Eric Xu told analysts, Huawei plans to invest $1 billion in researching technologies for automated electric cars.

Honda is planning ten all-electric models for the Chinese market within the next five years, the Japanese manufacturer has now announced. A preview of the first BEV model, which is scheduled to go on sale in China in spring 2022, is now being shown by Honda with the "Honda SUV e:prototype".
