Mercedes-Benz is now providing a comprehensive overview of the production locations for its EQ brand electric offensive, including production of the EQA at the Rastatt plant ahead of the model's world premiere on 20 January 2021.
According to a media report, Mercedes-Benz is planning a tight schedule for the market launch of the electric models EQA and EQS. While the e-compact car is to be delivered as early as March, August is reportedly scheduled for the first handover to customers for the electric flagship.
Mercedes-AMG is planning performance variants of the EQA, EQB, EQS and EQE electric models, according to a media report. Performance figures are not yet known, and the market launch schedule is also still open.
Shortly before the world premiere on April 15, 2021, Daimler has started battery production for its flagship e-vehicle Mercedes EQS. As part of the Untertürkheim site, the Hedelfingen plant section is responsible for producing battery systems for the EQS, followed by systems for the upcoming EQE model.
