British SAIC brand MG Motor continues to expand its distribution network in Germany, with the all-electric ZS EV SUV and EHS plug-in hybrid now available at 53 locations across the country.
Tesla has handed over the first Model Ys to customers in Europe, with social media posts showing that the first handovers have taken place in Germany, the Netherlands and Norway. There are also new rumours about the battery technology of the Model Y built in Grünheide.
Opel has unveiled its own offshoot of the Citroën Ami electric two-seater light vehicle. The Opel Rocks-e will be available to order online or through direct sales at select Opel dealers in Germany starting this fall, with other markets to follow in 2022.

Volvo is now launching a second drive variant for the all-electric XC40 Recharge in Germany. Following the sales launch of the all-wheel drive version in July, the electric model is now also available with front-wheel drive and 170 kW of power - but still differs from the new FWD versions of the Polestar 2.
The all-electric Fiat 500 enters the 2022 model year with new equipment details and in seven variants. The slightly revised e-small car is available to order now - and continues to be available as a two-door model with a large tailgate, as a convertible or in the 3+1 body style.

Opel has opened the order books in Germany for the new Movano and its electric version, the Movano-e. The Opel Movano-e is the German brand's first electric model in the large van range, with a starting price of 57,990 euros (net).
A few days after the Opel Combo-e Cargo, the two sister models Citroën ë-Berlingo panel van and Peugeot e-Partner are now also available to order in Germany. The variants of the two French brands are even slightly cheaper than the Opel.
Opel is now accepting orders for the new generation of the compact Astra, including the plug-in hybrid version right at market launch. After deducting the environmental bonus, the base price is 28,622.50 euros.
Compleo Charging Solutions has launched the Wallbox Solo, a wall-mounted charging station that is designed to cover a variety of use cases with different equipment variants. The wallbox is KfW-eligible and, according to Compleo, will still be available in 2021.

Polestar has increased the battery size by five kilowatt-hours in the standard range version of its Polestar 2 e-sedan. The now 69 kWh power storage is made possible by "continuous development of prismatic cell chemistry". The range increases by around 30 kilometres.

Peugeot is expanding its electric vehicle range in Germany with the e-Rifter Vanderer. The compact campervan is the result of a collaboration with Vanderer, a company based in the Allgäu region of Germany that specialises in campervan solutions.
VW has given the GTX models of the ID.4 and ID.5 a slight upgrade, including the previously optional "Design" and "Comfort" equipment packages as standard. In return, however, the base price for both models has increased. GTX variants of the ID.3 and even the ID. Buzz are to follow.
Citroën has unveiled a crossover offshoot of its compact ë-C4 model, the new ë-C4 X. In Germany and most European markets, only the new all-electric ë-C4 X will be offered, while in other markets the C4 X will also be available as a combustion engine.
