Renault charging service and GP Joule set up joint venture

Renault charging service Mobilize Power Solutions and Schleswig-Holstein-based energy and charging specialist GP Joule Connect have agreed to form a joint venture to increasingly offer turnkey charging solutions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland - primarily for commercial fleet operators.

The newly founded company will be called Elto DACH GmbH and will be set up at Renault Deutschland AG in Brühl. The partners define their target group as fleet operators who want to reduce operating costs by introducing electric and plug-in vehicles and at the same time make a contribution to climate neutrality. In their solution offers, they want to take into account the specific vehicle use, the actual standing times, the individual range profiles and the respective framework conditions of energy use and supply at the customers.

GP Joule Connect specializes in coupling power generation from renewable energy sources with sustainable use in the form of e-mobility. The Schleswig-Holstein-based company's projects include the installation of 800 charging points in Rüsselsheim, as well as case studies from Pinneberg, Munich and Hanau. In the case of Hanau, the project involved a large urban district ("Pionier Park Hanau") on the site of a former American barracks.
