Electric car brand Polestar has sold 29,000 vehicles worldwide in 2021, meeting its sales target, with sales up 185 percent year-on-year.
In 2021, Polestar increased its global presence from ten to 19 markets, with a focus on Europe and Asia-Pacific. Just at the end of the year, it added a few more markets. When Polestar showed off the Polestar 3's prototype in early December and set a goal of 29,000 vehicles, there were only 14 markets.
"Despite ambitious plans, we are achieving our goals," said Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar. "It's a very exciting time for the brand. We are expanding into new markets, introducing new models and supporting the ambitious growth plans we have set."
