UK electric car subscription service Onto is adding 600 more electric cars to its fleet this month. The new additions are all from Peugeot and include 300 each of the e-208 and e-2008.
Both models rely on the familiar e-drive of the Stellantis models: The front wheels are driven by a 100 kW e-motor supplied by Vitesco. A 50 kWh battery (gross) is installed as power storage, of which about 45 kWh can be used. For the e-208 this results in a range of 225 miles according to WLTP (362 kilometres), for the e-2008 214 miles (344 kilometres).
Both the e-small car and the e-SUV model are already familiar to Onto customers: the subscription provider had ordered the first e-208s from Peugeot in November 2020, and the e-2008 was first ordered in May 2021. Sister models on the eCMP platform, specifically the DS 3 Crossback E-Tense, Citroën ë-C4 and also the Vauxhall/Opel Corsa-e and Mokka-e models are also now part of the Onto fleet.
Most recently, the subscription provider had also ordered 600 Fiat 500e. Other vehicles in the all-electric fleet include the Audi e-tron and Hyundai Kona Electric. 700 Fisker Ocean have also been ordered, but production of this vehicle will not start until November.
