Constance public utilities take delivery of six eCitaros

Stadtwerke Konstanz has purchased six new electric buses as a prelude to the long-term conversion of its bus fleet. The new Mercedes eCitaro e-buses have already been delivered and are scheduled to enter service on routes 6 and 14 in February.

After Turin transport operator GTT cancelled a contract with Chinese manufacturer Yutong to supply 100 electric buses, BYD has now been awarded the contract. The first 50 of these e-buses have already been firmly ordered from BYD and are scheduled for delivery to Turin in April 2021.

Bremer Straßenbahn AG (BSAG) has ordered five Mercedes-Benz eCitaro with solid-state batteries. Delivery of the electric buses is scheduled for the beginning of 2022. The scope of supply also includes five permanently installed charging systems, each with an output of 150 kW, as well as three mobile workshop chargers of 40 kW each, including service.
