British government promotes 335 E-buses

Neben der Stadt Leicester (wir berichteten) sind dies die Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, das Kent County Council, das Milton Keynes Borough Council und das Warrington Borough Council.

The figures are known for Leicster, where the city estimates the total investment at 47 million pounds (a good 55 million euros) - so minus the 19 million pounds of funding, 28 million pounds of investment will be made possible, of which the city will contribute 2.2 million pounds.

The government insists that a further £355m (€420m) will be made available to promote zero-emission buses, but the Confederation of Passenger Transport has already cast doubt on whether the government's funding plans will be enough to meet its own target of 4,000 zero-emission buses in England by 2025.
