Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has released another interim status on pre-orders for the ID. Buzz, stating that there are currently around 12,500 pre-orders - of which more than 6,000 reservations are said to be for the ID. Buzz Cargo.

As VWN boss Carsten Intra told "Automobilwoche", the delivery time is currently around half a year. "We are now already at the end of the first quarter, March or April 2023," Intra said. The annual production is virtually already sold out and sold out beyond this year - as reported, around 15,000 units are to be produced at the Hanover plant in 2022.

"Of the 15,000 or so vehicles we will build in 2022, after all, not all of them can be delivered to customers immediately," the VWN boss is further quoted as saying. "We have to stock the dealers first, so the first 6,000 vehicles will go into the showrooms, and then the customer vehicles will come."

The further schedule: According to Intra, the first dealers will be equipped with demonstrators following the IAA Transportation in Hanover, which is currently underway. The delivery of the first customer vehicles is planned for November. Intra did not specify which mix of private customer and cargo version VWN is aiming for. The cargo share of pre-orders is slightly less than 50 percent - however, it remains open whether production is also planned accordingly.
